Swimming wraps up day three of CCSA Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Bellarmine swimming concluded its third day at the CCSA Championships on Friday.

For the women, Anna Holt earned Bellarmine's top finish of the week thus far, earning 12th place in the 200 butterfly (2:04.64).  Alexandra Pierce placed 18th in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.51), while Morgan Bender finished 29th (1:06.84) in the same event.  Megan Wills placed 36th in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.29).  Mackenzie Conger finished 36th in the 200 butterfly (2:18.67).  
 
In the 100 backstroke, Lauren Diercks earned 27th place (57.17), while Caroline McMillin placed 38th (59.61), and Emily Kuprion finished 39th (1:00.11).
 
Fresh off a silver medal in the 100 butterfly, Jacob Dray had the best finish of the day for the men at eighth place in the 200 butterfly (1:49.86).   Cason Henderson raced to an 11th place finish (1:51.84), while Drew Wolfram claimed 17th (1:54.91), Sam Russell nabbed 19th (1:58.86), and Brendan Verna earned 20th (2:00.15) in the same event.
 
In the 100 breaststroke, Brandon Thomas picked up a 10th place finish (56.63), while Andrew Nguyen placed 11th (56.69), and Carter Reynolds placed 15th (1:00.10) in the same event.
 
In the 100 backstroke, Keegan Henderson placed 16th (52.21) and Tyler Diercks placed 17th (52.80).

The Knights finish the 2022-23 season tomorrow in day four of the CCSA Championships.
