LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The time has come and gone again for the Bellarmine Cheerleading team competing at NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The 2023 competition, held last week, consisted of the largest division in which Bellarmine has ever taken part with a total of 21 teams in the division. Bellarmine Coach Charli Webb said, "Due to a couple of mistakes on the mat, we did not achieve the goal we were hoping for, as we finished in 12th. However, we are using this as a learning experience and are geared up and ready to hit next season in full swing."

Webb added that final placement at nationals does not diminish the work, the effort, the tears, and the sweat the team has put in day in and day out this season.  "I do not end this season feeling anything but proud," Webb said.

The four seniors on the team--Kobi Mills, Lauren Stone, Katie Kernen, and Gus Buck—got a special shoutout from Webb.  "Thank you for your time and commitment to this program the last four years," she said, "We wish you the best in all your future endeavors."
