LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University men's tennis team completed its final weekend of the fall season in split fashion, sending players to both the Viking Invitational hosted by Cleveland State and the University of Louisville Classic.
The Knights sent most of its playing roster to Cleveland to participate in the Viking Invitational. Senior
Brent Reynolds, junior
Vineet Ramesh, sophomore
Louie Fletcher and freshman
Diego Martinez all competed at the event.
Ramesh and Fletcher teamed up on the doubles court and led the charge for the Knights, registering three wins in the doubles main draw to get to the championship match. The pair opened play with a bye as the top seed in the bracket before going on to 6-1, 6-3 and 7-6 (4) wins. The duo played well but eventually fell 7-5 in the championship match to go 3-1 on the weekend and earn a second-place finish. Reynolds and Martinez also saw some success in doubles action, going 2-1 on the weekend.
In singles play, Ramesh, Martinez and Reynolds all notched a win.

Jack Batchelor and junior
Matthew Nice were not left out of the fun of the team's final fall weekend as the duo participated in the Louisville Classic thanks to a last-minute invite.
Batchelor led the duo with a 2-2 record, defeating two opponents from the University of Tennessee. Nice went 1-3 in the event, registering a win over an opponent from the University of Kentucky.
