LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine sprint football team placed 12 players on the Midwest Sprint Football League All-Conference teams, the league announced Thursday.
Seven Knights, five offensive and two defensive, earned First Team selections while an additional five, all on defense, earned Second Team notice.

Nathan Kitchens, junior running back
Brenden Reid and sophomore receivers
Tyler Smith and
Shannon Tonge. Junior lineman
Royce Hall and sophomore linebacker
Allan Ho earned First Team Defense nods. This season marks the third straight for Reid receiving a postseason honor as he was MSFL Offensive MVP in 2022 and First Team Offense in 2023. Ho earned First Team Defense recognition in 2023 while Smith garnered honorable mention.

Lance Weiter were placed on the Second Team Defense. Murray previously earned a First Team Defense nod in 2023 and Weiter was given honorable mention.
Horvath led the MSFL averaging 274.7 passing yards per game and tied for the league lead with 21 passing touchdowns while guiding the Knights' offense with a bevy of talented skill players. Kitchens tied for fourth in the league with five receiving touchdowns and was seventh with 329 receiving yards. Reid was fifth in the league with 421 rushing yards and added two scores. Smith was fourth in the MSFL with 458 receiving yards and, like Kitchens, hauled in five scores. Tonge was second in the league with both his 542 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
On the First Team Defense, Hall led the league with four forced fumbles, tied for second with two fumble recoveries and ranked fifth with 10.0 tackles for loss. Ho tied for eighth with 43.0 tackles (22 solo) and tied for 11
th with three pass breakups.
On the Second Team Defense, Brazzell registered 29.0 tackles, 5.0 for loss. Jackson tied for the league lead with 6.5 sacks and was third with 11.5 tackles for loss. McGrath tied for sixth with 46.0 tackles (14 solo). Murray led the league with 73.0 total tackles (fourth with 29 solo) and tied for fourth with 11.0 tackles for loss. He also added two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, one interception and a blocked kick. Weiter led the MSFL with four picks and tied for third with five pass breakups.
Bellarmine's offensive honorees helped the team 28.9 points per game, third in the league, and 368.0 total yards per game, good for second. The defense ranked third with both its 24.3 points per game allowed and 271.9 yards per game allowed. The Knights finished 4-2 in the regular season and earned the 3 seed in the MSFL Playoffs before falling to eventual champion Calumet in the semifinals round.

Roy Shrout were named to the MSFL Champions of Character Team.
