LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University men's tennis team tuned up for Atlantic Sun Conference play with a 7-0 victory over Centre on Friday at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
Bellarmine (5-7), which pushed its winning streak to four, swept the doubles matches by a combined score of 18-7 as junior
Jack Batchelor and sophomore
Matthew Nice were victorious at No. 1, as were sophomore
Eli Wood and junior
Xavier Ecarma at No. 2, and freshman
Wynn Shioi and sophomore
Vineet Ramesh at No. 3.
Bellarmine then rolled in straight sets in all six singles matches. From Nos. 1-6, the wins were claimed by Nice, senior
Kyle Tang, freshman
Louie Fletcher, Wood, Ecarma and Shioi.
Bellarmine will make its ASUN debut at noon (ET) Sunday at Queens.
