LOUISVILLE, Ky. — North Florida bested the Bellarmine University men's tennis team 5-2 in Atlantic Sun Conference play Saturday in the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.
Bellarmine (7-11, 2-4 ASUN) earned the doubles point against North Florida (9-8, 5-0) as junior
Jack Batchelor and sophomore
Matthew Nice defeated Rodrigo Crespo and Jonas Hartenstein — the 77th-ranked doubles team in the country — 6-1 at No. 1, and senior
Kyle Tang and junior
Xavier Ecarma topped Chase Healey and Juan Pablo Cenoz 6-4 at No. 3.
Sophomore
Eli Wood recorded Bellarmine's other point by winning 6-2, 6-0 over Chase Healey at No. 6 singles. Junior
Jack Batchelor, at No. 1, and freshman
Louie Fletcher, at No. 5, captured a set each.
Bellarmine will host Kennesaw State in an ASUN match at 3 p.m. (ET) Sunday.
