LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine University women's basketball coach Chancellor Dugan on Wednesday announced the addition of freshman guard/forward Mina Milosevic.

"Mina is a very versatile player who can play two or three positions," said Dugan. "Her length and athleticism will help us play the up-tempo style we love to play."

A native of Belgrade, Serbia, the 6-foot-2 Milosevic picked Bellarmine following two seasons at Fryeburg Academy in Maine where she excelled for the Raiders.

"I chose Bellarmine because of how the coaches approached me and presented the university," said Milosevic. "It meant a lot to know that there is someone supportive and ready to help you as an international student coming from far away. It is the style of communication and their vision that truly inspired me to want to be a Knight."

At Fryeburg, Milosevic was Class A/B Second Team All-Western Maine and earned All-Star Game MVP honors for the Western Maine Conference All-Stars as a senior. The versatile wing averaged a solid double-double at 21.2 points and 14.6 rebounds in her final campaign.

"As a player, I consider myself more as an offensive player that can move between the three, four and five based on the team's needs," Milosevic said. "I like to shoot the ball from distance and I like to play under contact. The physical game is something that I love. I also like doing small things that make the team better and win possessions. Hustle plays. Boxing out is a big thing for me and looking to create space."

Bellarmine will be eligible to compete in the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship for the first time, an opportunity that excites Milosevic.

"From what I had a chance to learn about the 2024-25 roster, I think that we will be really good and be able to put up a show for our crowd," said Milosevic. "I think we have a chance to be very competitive in our conference and go far. The team game will be our greatest strength. Hopefully we can get to the tournament, too. March Madness as a freshman would be a dream come true. But as I like to say, step-by-step."
