EARLYSVILLE, Va. — The length of the course changed, but
Alex Hooten delivering among the top performances in Bellarmine University cross country history did not.
At Friday's NCAA I Southeast Regional Championship, Hooten posted the 11th-best 10k time in men's program history, clocking a 31:39.1 while placing 86th at Panorama Farms.
Hooten skyrocketed from 30th to seventh on the program's 10k performance list. In his previous effort, at the ASUN Championship, the redshirt junior broke an 8k program record that had stood since 2016. In total between the 8k and 10k records, Hooten owns nine all-time top 50 marks.
