LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine men's tennis suffered another narrow loss in ASUN play, falling 4-3 to North Alabama on Sunday afternoon at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.

With the loss, the Knights move to 4-7 overall and 0-2 in Atlantic Sun action.

Bellarmine started the match on the right foot, taking the doubles point for a quick 1-0 lead. Brent Reynolds and Jack Batchelor got the first win in doubles on court three, taking down their opponents 6-4. North Alabama answered with a win on court two but the Knights secured the point with a 6-3 win on court one, thanks to Louie Fletcher and Eli Wood.

Moving into singles, Batchelor kept the momentum going with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 1 singles.

The Lions notched their first point on court two after a three-set battle.

Vineet Ramesh got in on the action at No. 3 singles. After dropping the first set 7-6 (7-1), Ramesh rallied to win the next two sets 6-4, 7-5 to complete the comeback and earn another point for Bellarmine.

From there, North Alabama went on a tear, winning each of the final three singles matches on courts four, five and six to roar from behind for a 4-3 victory.
