JACKSONVILLE, Fl. – Bellarmine men's tennis, on the road for another Atlantic Sun Conference match, fell to North Florida 7-0 on Friday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex.
With the loss, the Knights move to 4-8 overall and 0-3 in ASUN play.
North Florida started the match with two wins in doubles to secure the point. The Ospreys were up 5-3 in the third doubles match that went unfinished.
Jack Batchelor tried to get something going for Bellarmine in singles, winning the first set 6-4 on court one. After his opponent rallied for a 7-6 (7-5) set two win, Batchelor dropped the third set 1-0 (10-4) to lose the match.
UNF followed the difficult win with five wins in straight sets on courts 2-6 to secure the 7-0 victory.
Up next, Bellarmine will return to Louisville for a cross-town "road" match at the University of Louisville on Sunday, March 23.
