LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Five members of the Bellarmine University baseball team earned Academic All-District accolades from the College Sports Communicators.
The Knights recognized were redshirt freshman infielder
Landon Akers, sophomore right-hander
Chase Carver, senior right-hander
Cooper Hellman, junior outfielder
Joey Milto and junior infielder
Luke Scales.
A business administration major, Akers earned second-team All-ASUN, ASUN All-Freshman Team and Academic All-ASUN Team laurels in 2025. He finished the regular season tied for 33rd in the country in hits with a Division I-era program-record 80 while batting .356 with six homers, 15 doubles, 16 stolen bases and 48 runs scored.
Carver is a business administration major and was Bellarmine's Friday starter. The right-hander amassed team highs in innings pitched (70.1) and strikeouts (42) while tying for first with three wins.
Hellman majored in sports administration and tied Carver for the team high with three wins while ranking second on the Knights in appearances (22) and strikeouts (34). All three of his victories came in ASUN play.
A finance major, Milto garnered Academic All-ASUN Team plaudits. He carried a team-best .437 on-base percentage while batting .264 with five homers, three triples, 10 doubles, 25 RBI, 38 walks and 45 runs scored.
Scales is an accounting major and two-time member of the CSC Academic All-District team. He batted .276 with 12 doubles, 31 RBI and 40 runs scored.
