ASUN announces Knights’ conference schedule

7/29/2025 2:00:00 PM

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun today announced its conference schedule for men's basketball.

Bellarmine is set to open their sixth season of ASUN play on New Year's Day and will again play 18 conference games split equally between home and road. The Knights' conference slate, save for one game, is to be played on Thursdays and Saturdays.

In his first season as head coach, Doug Davenport's crew will face seven of their 11 ASUN opponents both at home and on the road: Austin Peay, Central Arkansas, Eastern Kentucky, Lipscomb, North Alabama, Queens and West Georgia. The Knights will visit Jacksonville and North Florida and host Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast to account for the other four contests.

That conference opener on New Year's Day, a Thursday, will be the Knights' first-ever visit to West Georgia and will be followed by a trip to Charlotte, N.C., to face Queens two days later.

The Knights will begin the home portion of their ASUN docket with Central Arkansas (Jan. 8) and North Alabama (Jan. 10) before four straight road contests at defending ASUN champs Lipscomb (Jan. 15), in-state rival Eastern Kentucky (Jan. 17), Jacksonville (Jan. 22) and North Florida (Jan. 24).

After a 17-day stretch without a home game, the Knights open a four-game homestand with return games from West Georgia (Wed., Jan. 28) and Queens (Jan. 31). Single-game opponents Stetson (Feb. 5) and Florida Gulf Coast (Feb. 7) then visit Knights Hall to close the home stretch.

Bellarmine then heads to Conway, Ark., for their return game against Central Arkansas (Feb. 12) and Clarksville, Tenn., for their first of two games in 15 days against Austin Peay (Feb. 14).

The Knights end the regular season with three out of four at home, starting with Lipscomb (Feb. 19) and EKU (Feb. 21). A quick trip down I-65 to Florence, Ala., to face North Alabama (Feb. 26) then precedes a Senior Day matchup in Knights Hall with Austin Peay (Feb. 28).

As previously announced, starting in 2026, the ASUN Men's Basketball Championship will no longer be held on campus sites and, instead, will be held at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville and feature all 12 league teams. The 2026 tournament will be held March 4-8.

Bellarmine also previously announced a road game at Rupp Arena against Kentucky on Dec. 23. The rest of the Knights' nonconference schedule will be announced at a later date.
