LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine University wrestling's Keenen Wyatt performed on the world stage earlier this month, claiming a bronze medal for USA Wrestling at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay.

A redshirt sophomore, Wyatt turned in a strong second period to earn an 11-4 victory over his opponent from Cuba in the 97-kg Greco-Roman bronze medal bout. Wyatt was narrowly edged 4-3 by his opponent from Mexico in opening round.

"I am blessed and honored to have been able to wrestle and represent my country at the Pan-American games," Wyatt said. "I want to thank my Bellarmine coaches and staff for preparation and the OTC Greco staff for this opportunity. I look forward to the upcoming NCAA season. Can't wait!"

The Gardendale, AL native will look to compete at the 184/197-pound weight class this season for the Knights.

"Keenan Wyatt's bronze medal at the Junior Pan American Games is more than just a personal breakthrough, it's a sign of the growing strength of Knights RTC. Keenan had very little Greco experience in high school, but through perseverance, faith, and the guidance of world-class coaches like Noelvis Caraballo and Olympic champion Momir Petković, he has risen to the international podium," Bellarmine head coach Ned Shuck said. "His success, alongside medals from Gavin Ricketts and Brayton Lee this summer, reflects the foundation we are building. Knights RTC is becoming a place where athletes grow into world-class competitors, and it's only the beginning of what's ahead for Bellarmine Wrestling and our community of supporters."
