BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — The Bellarmine University men's soccer team aced its final test before its Atlantic Sun Conference opener.
In perhaps their most complete performance of the season, the Knights scored twice in the first half and tacked on another in the second while rolling to a commanding 3-0 win over Bowling Green State on Sunday night at Cochrane Stadium.

Brendan Schoemehl and Harshaw collected an assist each against Bowling Green State (2-3-2), which was coming off a 1-1 draw at No. 18 Kentucky and a 1-0 win over Michigan State.

Peter Van Euwen registered five saves and recorded his second clean sheet.
In his first start of the season, Cadagan got Bellarmine on the board in the 25th minute. After a throw-in, Cox's shot was deflected near the 6 and Cadagan ripped in the carom inside the near post.
Bowling Green State was issued a red card in the 28th minute, and Bellarmine struck again with approximately five minutes left in the first half. From near the top of the box, Schoemehl tapped ahead to Harshaw, who slotted a shot from 8 yards inside the right post. It was Harshaw's second goal of the season and Schoemehl's third assist.
After receiving a pass from Harshaw, Nissen-Lie closed out the scoring in the 67th minute with his sixth goal of the season and fourth in the last two games after he notched a hat trick against Spalding. Nissen-Lie drilled a shot from the top of the box inside the left upper 90.
Bellarmine converted on three of its five shots on goal. The Knights racked up 13 total shots, while the Falcons amassed 12.
Bellarmine will open ASUN play by hosting Lipscomb at 7 p.m. (ET) Saturday.
