OTTAWA – Former Bellarmine faceoff specialist
Aidan Fearn on Saturday was selected by the Ottawa Bears in the fourth round of the 2025 NLL draft.
Fearn, 23, completed four years with the Knights this past spring before being selected 53
rd overall. As a senior, he won 90 of 182 faceoffs (.495). For his career, he ranks fifth in program history with a .498 faceoff percentage (311-for-624). He earned a bachelor's degree from Bellarmine in economics and data science.
On February 8 of this year against Mercyhurst, Fearn made history by setting a program record with 15 ground balls. He won 22 of 26 faceoffs (.846) and also added an assist in the 21-11 Knights win. Following the game against Mercyhurst, he became the second Knight to ever be named to the USILA Division I Team of the Week, and also earned ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The Toronto native is the 22nd Knight to be selected in the NLL draft, though just the second in the last nine years, which includes
Denton Macdonald's selection by the Saskatchewan Rush last year.
The NLL opens their 2025-26 season in late November or early December.
