LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University's Ella Flynn was acknowledged as the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season after the women's soccer weekly awards were announced Monday.

A freshman defensive midfielder, Flynn netted two of Bellarmine's four goals in a 4-0 win at Queens on Thursday. The native of Lexington, Kentucky, also helped the defense post a clean sheet while limiting the Royals to two shots on goal.

Flynn was also named ASUN Defensive Player of the Week on Aug. 24. She is tied with sophomore forward Katie Paulakonis for the team lead in goals with four.
