RICHMOND, Ky. — Junior Salah Farah made Bellarmine University men's cross country history at the 2026 ASUN Championships with his individual finish.

Turns out he was also setting the tone for a historic team finish.

On Friday at Arlington Golf Center, Farah placed a program-record fifth, sophomore Jared Fairbanks joined him as an All-ASUN recipient and Henry Kiser landed ASUN All-Freshman Team honors in leading the Knights to a program-best third in the ASUN men's meet.

Graduate student Kynzlei Bassett placed in the top 20 as the women's squad took seventh.

Farah's fifth place bested Chase Atkins' ninth from the 2024 championships for the best in program history. He became the first Knight to land first-team All-ASUN honors.

Farah and Fairbanks, who placed 13th, became the second Bellarmine duo to earn All-ASUN status in the same year and first since Atkins and D.K. Schnieders in 2023. Fairbanks made the second team.

Kiser became the third Knight to reap ASUN All-Freshman Team laurels after Atkins (2021) and Nick Lewis (2020) after placing 22nd.

With competitors navigating a challenging, hilly course, Farah's 24:49.0 tied the 40th-fastest 8k time in program history. It was his fourth all-time top 40 mark of the season. Fairbanks was next (25:20.8) followed by Kiser (25:56.3), junior Malcolm Robertson (34th, 26:47.5) and junior Sherjeel Khan (35th, 26:49.5) in the top 5.

The team's third-place finish under program director Emma Petersen set a new standard. Bellarmine's previous best was fourth in 2023 and 2024.

In the women's 5k race, Bassett placed 18th in 18:56.7. Graduate student Camille Ludwig (44th, 20:23.6), freshman Anniston Sewell (50th, 20:48.0), freshman Gianna Ferreri (54th, 20:57.8) and freshman Carmen Guerrero (55th, 20:59.6) rounded out the top 5.

Lipscomb's women (15) and men (16) swept the team titles.

Bellarmine will compete Friday, Nov. 13, in the NCAA Southeast Regional in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
