CLEVELAND -- Bellarmine University field hockey midfielder and defender Wende de Witte was named to the Mid-American Conference All-Fresham Team, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Amsterdam, Netherlands native was an integral piece to Bellarmine's lineup this season starting all 18 games for the Knights.

During her time on the field, de Witte tallied seven shots, four shots on goal, a goal and an assist in 1035 minutes of action.

She had a breakout performance in the midseason contest against Longwood in which she tallied five shots, two on goal and a goal to help the Knights get their first win of the season on September 25.

The last time Bellarmine had someone land on the All-Freshman Team was in 2024 when both Skylar Sokal and Luna Tuncay held the honor.
