Hyman posts 17 points in women's basketball's loss at Lipscomb

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Lipscomb defeated the Bellarmine University women's basketball team 87-42 in Atlantic Sun Conference play Wednesday night in Allen Arena.

Sophomore forward Kayce Hyman was two points shy of matching her career high after posting 17 for injury-riddled Bellarmine (2-28, 0-17 ASUN). Sophomore guard Ava Smith chipped in 11 points while freshman guard and walk-on Olivia Pifer pulled down a career-high nine rebounds.

Lipscomb (10-18, 7-10) shot 53.3 percent from the floor and was particularly impressive from beyond the arc, where the Bisons hit 17 of their 34 3-point tries. McKayla Miller knocked down five triples while scoring a game-high 21 points, and Molly Heard canned four treys in registering 20 points.

Bellarmine will conclude the regular season with a 7 p.m. (ET) contest Friday at Eastern Kentucky.
