LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After two full weeks off, the Bellarmine University women's tennis team is back in action with a three-match road weekend, first playing at Bowling Green before traveling to Mississippi State for a tri-match with the Bulldogs and Louisiana Tech.

The trip will kick off on Friday, February 6 in Bowling Green, OH as the Knights take on the Falcons at 1 pm E.T. at the Perrysburg Tennis Center.

From there, Bellarmine will make the journey to Starkville, MS for a doubleheader on Sunday, February 8, first taking on Louisiana Tech at 10 am E.T. before facing off with Mississippi State at 3 pm E.T.

In their last time out, the Knights fell to Liberty 4-0 and Delaware 4-1 in Nashville. Junior Nikola Kollaritsch secured the only point for Bellarmine (6-5) with her singles win against Delaware.

Bowling Green is off to a 3-1 start to its season and is coming off its lone loss to Marshall last weekend, losing 6-1 to the Thundering Herd. The Falcons three-match win streak was capped by a 7-0 defeat of Dayton on January 30. Bellarmine and Bowling Green have met once before, with BGSU taking a 7-0 win on February 13, 2021 in Bowling Green.

Louisiana Tech is 2-1 to start its season. With their last three matches postponed, the Bulldogs haven't played since January 17-18 when they fell to Tulsa 4-3 before defeating SEMO 5-2. Bellarmine and Louisiana Tech will meet for the first time when facing off on Sunday.

Mississippi State is off to an undefeated 2-0 start to its season after beating UAB 7-0 and Samford 6-1. These Bulldogs are in a similar situation to Louisiana Tech, having their last three scheduled matches get canceled. Mississippi State will host Georgia Southern and Alcorn State for a pair of matches on Friday before BU and LA Tech get to town on Sunday. Bellarmine and Mississippi State have met twice previously with the Bulldogs owning a 2-0 record. In the last meeting on January 18, 2025, Mississippi State won 4-0 in Starkville.
