OLD HICKORY, Tn. – The Bellarmine University women's golf team returned to action with the two-day The Nashville Invitational earlier this week, returning to the course after 20 days off.
The Knights competed in the 16-team field at Hermitage Golf Clubs Generals Retreat course, placing 14
th at +87.
Sophomore
Geriann Ackermann led Bellarmine as the only Knight with three rounds in the 70s, carding a 78-77-76 finish for 40
th in the 91-player field.
After an opening round 90, freshman
Taylor Dunkle turned her weekend around with a round two 79 and round three 77.
Delaware topped the team leaderboard at +18 after three rounds. Lipscomb, the host of the event, came in a close second, finishing at +23.
Lipscomb's Ava Bankston won the individual championship, carding a two-under 70 in the final round for a +1 finish, beating out Delaware's Kate Roberts by one stroke (+2).
