SPRINGFIELD, Mo.—The host Drury Panthers got two second half goals to defeat Bellarmine 2-0 in a Great Lakes Valley Conference men's soccer match tonight.
Drury's Michael Yuede broke up the 0-0 tie with a goal in the 49th minute, and Ben Taylor added an insurance goal at the 71:14 mark for the home team.
The Knights outshot the hosts 14-9, but Panther goalkeeper Stephen Conner recorded seven saves to earn the shutout victory. The game was marred with five yellow cards and two red cards as each team had a player ejected.
Bellarmine drops to 6-4-1, 4-4-1 GLVC, while the Panthers up their record to 7-4, 6-3 GLVC.
The Knights continue their road trip with a Sunday contest in Kansas City against GLVC foe Rockhurst University.
