KANSAS CITY, Mo.--Drury University's Jesse Williams scored with just 26 seconds remaining to slip past the Bellarmine Knights 2-1 tonight in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament held at Rockhurst's campus.

The heart-breaking loss ends the Knights' season at 10-7-2 and breaks a string of seven games without a loss.

The Panthers, who came in the No. 7 seed, knocked off 2nd-seeded Northern Kentucky to reach the semifinals.  Bellarmine, the No. 6 seed, bested Indianapolis to reach the GLVC's Final 4.

Drury struck first, scoring about midway through the first half when the Panthers' Matt Hutchison scored after a deflection by Bellarmine goalkeeper Blake Hunter.

The Knights got the equalizing goal 3:10 into the second period as Pat Macauley registered his second goal of the season off a double assist from Austin Chitwood and Jack Binns.

The score remained deadlocked at one until Williams' heroics with less than a minute to go.

Statistically, the game was even with both teams credited with eight shots and four shots on goal.  Bellarmine held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Drury (13-7)  advances to the GLVC Championship game,  where they await the winner of the Rockhurst-Quincy game.
