LOUISVILLE, Ky.--As the Bellarmine University men's soccer team's regular season nears a close, the first of three important Great Lakes Valley Conference matchups will take place Friday night as the Knights host Kentucky Wesleyan College in the last regular season home game scheduled at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

Friday's game also will serve as senior night for Bellarmine's Nathan Driggers, Jordan Beckles, Justin Klenke, Cole Page, Steve Seithel, Robert Bowling , and Paul Althoff. In their four years in the soccer program, these seniors have helped the Knights post a 38-22-8 record, heading into Friday's game.

The Knights (7-4-3, 6-3-3 GLVC) will look to end a two game losing skid as they take on the winless Panthers (0-14, 0-12 GLVC).  A win would  secure a place in the GLVC postseason tournament for the Knights by maintaining a hold on one of the coveted top eight positions in the conference standings. Currently BU holds down the No. 6 spot with three games to play.

Offensively, Bowling leads the team in goals and points, scoring seven goals and tallying 16 points on the season while the Knights defense has been one of the stingiest in the conference. Bellarmine is tied for second in the conference in goals allowed with just eight on the year, contributing to the difficulties for opposing offenses is sophomore goalkeeper Blake Hunter who has posted four shutouts between the pipes so far this season.

Bellarmine will look to build momentum Friday night and carry it into Sunday's showdown at GLVC rival Southern Indiana (8-5, 7-4 GLVC), which currently sits in fifth place in the conference standings. The Knights close the season at McKendree on Oct. 24.

The senior day ceremony will be held between the women's and men's games, with the men scheduled to kick off at 6:30 p.m. at Frazier Stadium.
