EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Senior 
Marissa Kovach won the Flight 4 singles championship to highlight the Bellarmine University women's tennis team's weekend in the Evansville Metro Collegiate Invite at Wesselman Park.
Playing largely against Division I competition, every Bellarmine player recorded at least one singles and doubles win in each flight. Kovach won the Flight 4 singles title by defeating three DI opponents. In the finals, she took down Evansville's Nicoli Pereira 6-2, 6-3.
Sophomore 
Ashley Jonathan advanced to the Flight 2 finals after claiming victory in the quarterfinals and semifinals. Junior 
Maggie Walroth dropped her Flight 2 quarterfinal match but regrouped to win a pair of consolation contests in placing fifth, while freshman 
Aubrey Smith replicated Walroth's performance in placing fifth in Flight 5.
Senior 
Bess Fley advanced to the Flight 6 championship after winning in the semifinals. Sophomore 
Jennifer Skonieczny won her Flight 1 quarterfinals match, while freshman 
Ava Ratcliff won one contest in Flight 3. Senior 
Mairin Cotter collected a pair of singles wins.
In doubles play, Cotter/Fley placed third in Flight 3 and Ratcliff/Smith were fifth in Flight 2. Skonieczny/Kovach notched a win in Flight 2, as did Walroth/Jonathan in Flight 1.
