LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 win over Indiana University Southeast on Saturday at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex.

The Knights (3-0) won all six of their singles matches against IUS (2-1) in straight sets and didn't drop more than three games in any frame. Bellarmine's three doubles teams combined to go 24-3 in their sweep.

Junior Maggie Walroth (No. 1 singles, No. 1 doubles), sophomore Jennifer Skonieczny (No. 2 singles, No. 2 doubles), sophomore Ashley Jonathan (No. 3 singles, No. 1 doubles), senior Marissa Kovach (No. 4 singles, No. 2 doubles) and freshman Aubrey Smith (No. 6 singles, No. 3 doubles) registered two victories apiece. Senior Mairin Cotter (No. 5 singles) and freshman Ava Ratcliff (No. 3 doubles) picked up one win each.

"The IUS squad fought very hard and made us work for every point," Coach John Mican said. "Aubrey Smith continues to impress with her quickness around the court. Aubrey and Ava at No. 3 doubles are going to be hard to beat. Aubrey has made a quick transition to college tennis with the way she supports her teammates and works so hard at practice."

Bellarmine plays Lindenwood and Maryville on Oct. 21 at neutral-site Southern Indiana.
