EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The Bellarmine University swimming teams competed in their final regular-season competition Saturday after meeting host Evansville in a dual.
The Aces captured a 175-96 win in women's action and 187-90 victory in men's action.
Junior
Rachel Walker placed first in the 100 butterfly (58.03) for Bellarmine's women and was second in the 200 freestyle. Also securing runner-up finishes were senior
Sophia Noren in the 100 breaststroke and 200 breaststroke, freshman
Morgan Bender in the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly, sophomore
Anna Holt in the 500 freestyle and freshman
Caroline McMillin in the 400 individual medley.
On the men's side, senior
Ty Grubb placed first in the 100 breaststroke (56.85) and 200 breaststroke (2:07.39) and freshman
Kenton Whiteley captured gold in the 400 individual medley (4:13.30). Landing runner-up finishes for the Knights were freshman
Keegan Henderson in the 200 butterfly, sophomore
Patrick Jackson in the 50 freestyle, sophomore
Adham Howaidy in the 200 backstroke and sophomore
Jacob Dray in the 100 butterfly.
Bellarmine will compete Feb. 19-21 at the CCSA Swimming & Diving Championships at host Liberty.
