INDIANAPOLIS — Track and field season is under way as the Bellarmine University squads competed Saturday in the indoor UIndy Season Opener.
Freshman
Chloe Freilinger recorded the top time (59.69) of two heats in the women's 400. Sophomore
Kendal Gibbons placed third in the 60 hurdles, while junior
Katrina Kamarute placed fourth among two heats in the 60.
Freshman
Trevor Holbrook captured second among competitors in two heats of the men's 400, and he was fourth among those in three heats of the 60. Freshman
Owen Bates placed second and sophomore
Jordan Pohl was third in the high jump.
Both the women's and men's 4x400 relay teams placed first.
The Knights are off until after the holiday break, returning to action Jan. 14-15 at Kentucky's Jim Green Invitational.
