2021 WSOC Signings

Women's soccer inks five in latest recruiting class

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Five recruits have signed with the Bellarmine University women's soccer team, Interim Head Coach Callie McKinney announced Monday.

Set to join the Knights are defender/midfielder Dakota Bramer of Floyd Central (Ind.) High School, defender Emily Passini of Cor Jesu Academy (Mo.), defender/forward Sophie Roebel of Seton (Ohio) High School, forward Clara Spurlock of South Oldham (Ky.) High School and defender/midfielder Lillian Wilson of Mount Vernon (Ind.) High School.

Here's a look at the five future Knights:

Dakota Bramer
Hometown: Georgetown, IN 
Position: Defender/Midfielder 
High School: Floyd Central High School
High School Awards/Accomplishments: 2019 and 2020 Most Valuable Player, 2019 and 2020 Top Team Player, 2020 and 2021 Academic All-State, 2019 second-team All-District, 2020 and 2021 first-team All-District, 2019-21 All-Conference
Club Team: Javanon Futbol Club
Club Team Awards/Accomplishments: 2019 and 2020 State Cup champion
Coach McKinney on Bramer: "Dakota has a great personality on and off the field that will make her an awesome fit for Bellarmine University as a whole. She is a hard worker on the field that will do what needs to be done."

Emily Passini
Hometown: St. Louis, MO
Position: Defender
High School: Cor Jesu Academy
High School Awards/Accomplishments: High Honors freshman-senior year, Ambassador 2018-22
Club Team: Red Devils Sporting St. Louis
Club Team Awards/Accomplishments: 2019 USYS regional champion, four-time USYS state champion, 2018 and 2019 Best XI in the USYS Midwest Conference
Coach McKinney on Passini: "Emily is a versatile player that we will be able to use anywhere in the back line. She has the grit and competitiveness that will be compatible with our back line."

Sophie Roebel
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
Position: Defender/Forward
High School: Seton High School
High School Awards/Accomplishments: 2019 district champion, 2020 and 2021 GGCL first-team All-Star, 2021 district finalist, 2021 GGCL All-Southwest All-City
Club Team: Total Futbol Academy (TFA) Elite G03/04
Club Team Awards/Accomplishments: 2015 and 2021 State Cup champion, 2016 and 2017 State Cup semifinalist, 2021 USYS Regional Championship finalist, 2021 National Championship
Coach McKinney on Roebel: "Sophie is a very athletic and diverse player that can play center forward, outside back or center back. We are really looking forward to the pace and athleticism she will add to our roster."

Clara Spurlock
Hometown: Pewee Valley, KY
Position: Forward
High School: South Oldham High School
High School Awards/Accomplishments: 2021 first-team All-State, 2021 8th Region Player of the Year, 2021 8th Region All-Tournament Team, 2021 District All-Tournament MVP, 2020 second-team All-8th Region, 2020 Heart of the Dragon Award, 2019 8th Region All-Tournament MVP, 2021 state tournament runner-up, 2019 state tournament quarterfinalist, three-time 29th District Tournament champion, two-time 8th Region Tournament champion
Club Team: Racing Louisville FC Academy ECNL
Coach McKinney on Spurlock: "Clara will bring some diversity to our attack being a true center forward that we have been looking to bring in. She is a hardnosed forward that we are looking to see come in and score some goals."

Lillian Wilson
Hometown: McCordsville, IN
Position: Defender/Midfield
High School: Mount Vernon High School
High School Awards/Accomplishments: All-Conference, Impact Player of the Year
Club Team: FC Pride U18 Girls ECNL
Club Team Awards/Accomplishments: three-time ECNL conference champion
Coach McKinney on Wilson: "Lily has this awesome energy and spunk she brings on and off the pitch that will be just the kind of energy Bellarmine women's soccer is excited to get. She is also enrolling early to Bellarmine in the spring, which will be invaluable for her and her career."
