YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Bellarmine University women's tennis team opened its fall slate by recording 10 wins in the EMU Hidden Duels on Friday and Saturday.
In addition to Bellarmine and host Eastern Michigan, Oakland University and Northern Kentucky competed in the two-day tournament.
Freshman
Ekaterina Tikhonko paced Bellarmine in singles play by going 3-0. Fellow freshman
Rose Pastoret notched two wins. Senior
Madison Devillez and junior
Maja Kozerski notched one singles victory each.
Tikhonko and Pastoret claimed two victories together to lead the Knights in doubles action. Kozerski and junior
Morgan Whitlock also tallied a win.
Brian Slack made his head-coaching debut for Bellarmine, which competes Oct. 8-10 in the UC/Xavier Fall Invitational.
