LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine men's tennis team will open the fall portion of its schedule Friday by competing in the Toledo Rocket Invitational.
Hosted by Toledo University, the invitational is a three-day event that will run through Sunday. Bellarmine, Toledo, Case Western, Kenyon, Northwestern Ohio and the University of Chicago are the participants in the tournament.
Will Davis enters his third season as the head coach at Bellarmine after guiding the Knights through the transition to Division I last season.
Bellarmine returns four players in junior

Cole Groetsch,
Paul Reynolds and
Michael Staff. Freshmen
Jack Batchelor,
Donovan Ecarma and
Simeon Kostov are newcomers to the Knights. Reynolds led Bellarmine with nine singles wins last season including a 3-3 record in ASUN action.
On Friday, Bellarmine will face Toledo at 9 a.m. On Saturday, the Knights will start with Kenyon at noon followed by a matchup against the University of Chicago at 2 p.m. Formatting for each session will be determined by the coaches.
