CLEVELAND, Tenn. — The Bellarmine University track and field teams opened the outdoor season Saturday at the Lee Invitational.
Junior
Jenna Walker was the runner-up in the 100 hurdles, while freshman
Lauren DeBold placed third in the hammer throw and freshman
Katie Monheimer was fourth in the discus.
Junior
Katrina Kamarute took fifth in both the 200 and 400. Sophomore
Avery Hedden and senior
Talia Robinson also placed in the top half of the 400 field in eighth and ninth, respectively.
Bellarmine had five runners finish in the top half of the 1500 in senior
Lauren Masden (seventh), junior
Emma Wells (eighth), sophomore
Chloe Powell (ninth), freshman
Hannah Ellis (13th) and freshman
Erin Luckett (14th). Sophomore
Justice Pohlman-Singleton (seventh) and junior
Anna Wells (eighth) did the same in the 5000.
On the men's side, Bellarmine had eight runners finish in the upper half of the 5000. Freshman
Nolan Hester was the runner-up and destroyed the Bellarmine freshman program record in the event after finishing in 14:32.84, which bested
Logan Greco's previous mark of 14:56.41 set in 2018.

Ryan Burchett (11th), freshman
Wil Stamm (13th), freshman
Austin Pulkowski (14th), freshman

Senior
Will Esenbock placed sixth in the shot put and ninth in the hammer throw, with senior
Jared Muncaster taking eighth in the latter. Freshman
Luke Wunsch (ninth) and Muncaster (12th) both placed in the top half of the discus.
Freshman
Trevor Holbrook finished seventh in the 400 and 10th in the 200, while sophomore
Jordan Pohl took 10th in the 100.
