LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Bellarmine Knights men's golf team heads west this week for its final action before the ASUN Conference Championship.
Coach
Justin Tereshko will send his team to compete at University of Missouri's Tiger Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday at the Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia.
The 16-team field features three ASUN rivals along with Austin Peay, who will join the ASUN next year. Other league members scheduled to compete are North Alabama, Central Arkansas, and Eastern Kentucky.
The five Knights penciled into the starting lineup are
Shawn DeWeese,
Frankie Morgan,
Ballard Harris,
Kannon Tucker and
Jensen Klondike with
Hudson Hummel competing as an individual.
All six players sport a season stroke average of less than 77 with Morgan topping the list at 73.93. The low round of the year by a Bellarmine player is 4-under par, accomplished Morgan, Harris and twice by Klondike.
Bellarmine, as a team, is averaging 297.41 with a low round of 283 at the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate hosted by Tennessee Tech.
The Tiger Invitational is a 54-hole event with the opening 36 holes on Monday and the final round on Tuesday. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 8 a.m. both days with continuous play on Monday.
