BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The Bellarmine University track and field teams competed Friday and Saturday in Western Kentucky's Hilltopper Relays.
Senior
Lauren Masden placed fourth in the 800 and sixth in the 1500 to lead Bellarmine. In the former event, the Knights had two in the top 8, as sophomore
Chloe Powell finished eighth.
Bellarmine had four runners place in the top half of the 50-member 1500. In addition to Masden, Powell finished 12th, freshman
Erin Luckett was 23rd and freshman
Hannah Ellis was 24th.
Freshman
Chloe Freilinger and junior
Katrina Kamarute both earned top 5s in the 400, placing fourth and fifth. Sophomore
Avery Hedden finished in the top half of the 200 (11th) and 100 (17th), as did Kamarute in the 200 (12th) and junior
Jenna Walker in the 100 hurdles (12th).
Freshman
Trevor Holbrook led Bellarmine's men after placing sixth in the 400. Freshman
Luke Wunsch placed in the upper half of the discus at 12th.
Bellarmine will host the Jim Vargo Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
