LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine women's tennis team will open its fall schedule Saturday with a doubleheader dual at the University of Missouri.
The Tigers posted a 7-20 record last season with a 2-11 mark in the SEC.
Brian Slack enters his second season as head coach.
The Knights return sophomore
Ekaterina Tikhonko and senior
Channing Varnum, while
Maja Kozerski returns for the fall season. They are joined by newcomers
Lailaa Bashir,
Shu Grosso,
Vendula Kryslova,
Hanley Riner, and
Cydney Rogers.
Tikhonko was named to the ASUN All-Freshmen Team in the spring and led Bellarmine with 10 singles wins – including a 4-4 ASUN singles record. Varnum is the lone senior on the roster after notching three doubles wins last year, including two in ASUN play.
