LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University women's basketball team unveiled its full 2023-24 schedule on Wednesday.

Coach Chancellor Dugan's squad is slated for 28 games, including 13 in Freedom Hall. The Knights are set for 16 ASUN contests split evenly between home and away matchups.

After a home exhibition against Spalding on Oct. 29, Bellarmine will open the season with its longest road stretch of the year, which consists of six games away from Freedom Hall. The Knights will make their season debut Nov. 9 at San Jose State (6-25 last season) before a Nov. 12 contest at UCLA (27-10), which was the Pac-12 Tournament runner-up before a run to the Sweet Sixteen.

Bellarmine will have another considerable challenge waiting on the trip home from the Golden State, with a Nov. 16 showdown at Louisville (26-12) representing the latter of a powerhouse back-to-back. Last season, the Cardinals advanced to the Elite Eight and were the ACC Tournament runner-up.

The Knights will remain in state for a Nov. 21 outing at Murray State (15-16) before playing Nov. 29 at Evansville (11-19) and Dec. 2 at Wofford (22-10), which is the defending SoCon regular-season champion and a WNIT participant.

Bellarmine will follow its lengthiest span of road games with its most extended stretch of home contests of the season. The Knights will make their home debut Dec. 6 by welcoming Purdue Fort Wayne (14-19) before hosting Asbury (19-11) on Dec. 9 and Campbellsville-Harrodsburg (14-12) on Dec. 14. The latter two are National Christian College Athletic Association members. The Knights will cap the four-game homestand with a Dec. 18 matchup against Detroit Mercy (5-25).

The home stretch will be broken up by a Dec. 21 contest at Akron (17-13), but Bellarmine will conclude the nonconference portion of its schedule with a Dec. 30 tilt against Ohio (6-23) in Freedom Hall.

January brings the arrival of ASUN competition, with the league comprised of two six-team divisions, East and West. Bellarmine will play its five West Division counterparts twice and square off once against the East Division squads.

Bellarmine will open conference action with two road games, the first Jan. 4 at Austin Peay (18-12, 12-6 ASUN last season) and the second Jan. 6 at Lipscomb (20-12, 13-5). The Knights will follow with their longest conference homestand of the season, a three-game cluster at Freedom Hall featuring Eastern Kentucky (18-14, 11-7) on Jan. 13, North Alabama (15-15, 10-8) on Jan. 18 and Central Arkansas (8-21, 3-15) on Jan. 20.

That takes care of the first round of West Division games. Bellarmine will then enter "crossover" play against teams from the East, starting with Jan. 25 and 27 contests at North Florida (8-20, 5-13) and Jacksonville (12-17, 6-12), respectively.

The Knights will welcome reigning ASUN Tournament and regular-season champion FGCU (33-4, 17-1) on Jan. 31, head to Stetson (13-20, 6-12) for a Feb. 3 contest and then swing back to Freedom Hall for outings against Kennesaw State (15-16, 10-8) on Feb. 8 and Queens (8-21, 3-15) on Feb. 10.

From there, Bellarmine shifts back into West Division play for a second round of contests to conclude the regular season. The Knights will play Feb. 15 at Central Arkansas, Feb. 17 at North Alabama and Feb. 24 at Eastern Kentucky, marking their longest conference road stretch of the season.

However, Bellarmine wraps things up in Freedom Hall with a Feb. 29 contest against Lipscomb and a March 2 outing against Austin Peay in the regular-season finale.

With both the women's and men's basketball schedules now complete, the Bellarmine ticketing office is working with the Kentucky Exposition Center to finalize season ticketing. Current season ticket holders should receive an email in the coming weeks for renewals with new season ticket packages available following the renewal process.
