RICHMOND, Ky. – The Bellarmine women's golf team placed 13
th out of 15 in a weather-shortened Colonel Classic Monday at Gibson Bay Golf Course.
The Colonel Classic was originally scheduled to take place at the University Club at Arlington, but was moved to Gibson Bay. The event was scheduled for 54 holes, 36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday, but was shorted to 36 holes after severe weather washed out Tuesday's third round.
Alaina Schmitt was the top finisher for the Knights, tying for 26
th out of 90 players at plus-9. Schmitt and
Josephine Bonin each shot a team-low 74 in the second round.

Morehead State took the event at plus-16, eight strokes better than the rest of the field. The Eagles' MacKenzie Neal took home medalist honors at even par after rounds of plus-1 and minus-1.
