Will Davis today announced the 2025 portion of the Bellarmine University men's tennis schedule.
After a busy fall that concluded in a strong showing by senior
Jack Batchelor and junior
Matthew Nice at the ITA Conference Masters Championships, the Bellarmine men's tennis program is prepared for a challenging spring slate.
The Knights have 17 matches on their 2025 schedule, seven of which will played at home at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex. Of the ten remaining matches, two will be neutral site matchups with eight being true road tests. BU's schedule features a nearly even split between conference and non-conference opponents, playing eight matches against Atlantic Sun Conference teams with nine matches coming against non-conference competition.
Bellarmine will begin the second half of its campaign on the road January 18-19, facing off against University of Nebraska and University of Nebraska at Omaha at Nebraska's Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center. The Knights will first take on the Cornhuskers on Saturday the 18
th before a match with the Mavericks on the 19
th.
Following the opening road trip, BU will return home for its first home matches of the season, hosting Furman University on January 26
th and University of the Cumberlands on January 31st.
After the quick home stand, Bellarmine will open the month of February with another road trip, this time to Grand Forks, ND for a pair of matches, first against the University of North Dakota on February 14
th. The Knights will also play a match at NoDak's Choice Health & Fitness Center on February 15
th against an opponent to be named later. The following weekend, Bellarmine will make the short journey to Cincinnati, OH for a match against Xavier University on February 23
rd.
BU will then open March with a home match against Centre College on March 1
st.
Following the bout, the Knights will shift gears to ASUN action, traveling first to Nashville, TN for a match against Lipscomb on March 14
th. From there, Bellarmine will return to Louisville for its first home ASUN match, playing host to North Alabama on March 16
th. The Knights will then hit the road once more, traveling to Jacksonville, FL for a bout with North Florida on March 21
st.
After the long ping pong start to March, Bellarmine concludes the month with its longest home stretch of the season, playing four consecutive matches in Louisville with three coming at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex. The home stint begins on March 23
rd with the shortest "road" trip of the season as the Knights will take on cross-town rival Louisville. From there, Bellarmine will play three straight ASUN matches on its home courts, taking on Queens on March 28
th, Eastern Kentucky on March 30
th and Austin Peay on April 2
nd.
From there, the Knights will conclude the regular season on the road, playing at Florida Gulf Coast on April 11
th and at Stetson on April 13
th.
