LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine sprint football team will celebrate five players and two managers Saturday for Senior Day before hosting Oakland City for their final regular season home game. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET at Page Stadium on the campus of St. Xavier High School.

To be honored pregame Saturday are seniors running back Brenden Reid, defensive back Gavin Brazzell, defensive back/quarterback Vernon Duncan, linebacker Caleb Murray, offensive/defensive lineman Roy Shrout and managers Nevaeh Sherwood and Dilyn Storm.

Reid is Bellarmine's all-time leader in rushing yards (1,992) and rushing touchdowns (20) while Murray sits atop the Knights' all-time list in tackles (162), forced fumbles (6) and fumble recoveries (7). Reid, Murray and Shrout are the only three Knights who have been with the program all four seasons.

Bellarmine (2-2) earned a gritty 9-7 win at Quincy their last time out on October 5 before enjoying their bye week last week. Linebacker Gavin Brazzell took home MSFL Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording eight tackles, an interception and a game-sealing forced fumble. Running back Brenden Reid rushed for 113 yards and a touchdown and Luke Vallandingham chipped in a 30-yard field goal.

There will almost assuredly be more scoring Saturday as the Knights take on an Oakland City (0-4) team they defeated 43-0 in the season opener on September 13. Things have not gotten any better for OCU since then as they suffered three more blowout losses to Calumet (57-7), Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (63-6) and Calumet again (34-0).

Reid currently sits at third in the MSFL averaging 71.8 yards on the ground while Morgan Capps is 10th averaging 41.3 receiving yards.

The Knights are 3-0 all-time against the Mighty Oaks, who currently rank last in the MSFL in points per game and points allowed per game.
