LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University men's tennis team will send a portion of the team down to Jacksonville, FL this weekend to the UNF Fall Individual Conference Championships at the UNF Tennis Complex.

Play is slated to begin on October 23 and will last through October 25 with the 26 available in case of weather at any time.

The event will consist of both a singles and doubles bracket with the Knights vying for a chance to win their way into qualifying for the ITA South Sectional.

Head coach Will Davis will send seniors Matthew Nice and Vineet Ramesh and freshman Sebastian Baumann and Ryan Parkins to compete at the event. All four will play singles while the doubles pairing will stay within classes as Nice and Ramesh will pair up and Baumann and Parkins will join together.

Bellarmine, along with host North Florida, will join Abilene Christian, North Alabama, UT Arlington, Lipscomb, FGCU, Eastern Kentucky, Stetson and Austin Peay in the field.

Singles will go down with a compass draw of 32 to guarantee 2-3 matches per player with a qualifying draw of 16. Only eight players from qualifying will make it to the main finals. All matches leading up to the finals will be played with a 10-point tiebreaker instead of a full third set while the semifinals and finals will play a full third set.

Doubles will also feature a compass draw of 20 teams to guarantee 2-3 matches per team. All matches through to the finals will play a standard set to six with a tiebreaker at 6-6. The finals will play best two of three sets with a 10-point tiebreaker for the third.

All match results can be found here on the event's ITA page.
