LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University redshirt senior defender Sidney Rigsby and sophomore forward McKenzie Carle were both selected first-team All-ASUN as the conference announced its postseason honors on Wednesday.

In addition, goalkeeper Anna Jenkins, defender Abigail Fike and midfielder Nora Dimmitt were recognized on the ASUN All-Freshman Team, while Rigsby and fellow seniors Dakota Bramer, Emily Passini and Clara Spurlock were acknowledged on the Academic All-ASUN Team.

ALL-ASUN
Rigsby and Carle validated their Preseason All-ASUN Team accolades. Carle received first-team notice for the second straight season, while Rigsby followed up second-team laurels last season with first-team recognition this year.

Carle set Division I-era single-season program records with 10 goals and 24 points, the former which is tied for third in the ASUN and the latter ranking fifth. The native of Cincinnati tallied four goals in conference play and added another in the ASUN Tournament. She also collected four assists on the season.

Rigsby anchored the back line for the majority of the season before shifting up to the defensive midfield down the stretch. The native of Lebanon, Ohio, led the team with 1,755 minutes and played the entire game in all but two matches. Her four goals, including the game-winner against Gold Division champion Lipscomb, ranked third on the team and she chipped in two assists.

ASUN ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM
In her first season at Bellarmine, Jenkins was a two-time ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week. The native of Plainfield, Illinois, is tied for third in the conference in save percentage (.814) and shutouts (six) while ranking fifth in goals-against average (1.16). She amassed five saves or more in nine games.

In her debut season, Fike was a fixture on the back line. The native of Alpharetta, Georgia, started all 20 games while ranking third on the team in minutes with 1,712. Fike left the field in only four matches.

Dimmitt was a significant contributor from the get-go of her career as well, starting 18 games and logging 1,319 minutes as an attacking midfielder. The Louisville native was a catalyst for Bellarmine's late-season surge into the ASUN Tournament, accounting for the game-winning goal in a must-have 1-0 road victory over North Alabama.

ACADEMIC ALL-ASUN TEAM
Some of the primary parameters for inclusion on the Academic All-ASUN Team for undergraduates are a minimum 3.50 GPA, at least four semesters completed and participation in at least 50 percent of the team's matches.

Rigsby (psychology), Bramer (elementary education), Passini (biology) and Spurlock (neuroscience) garnered honors for the Knights.
