SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – On a soggy King & Bear course Tuesday, the Bellarmine men's golf team wrapped up play in a rain-shortened World Golf Village Collegiate. The final round was cancelled due to torrential rain in the area.

Despite the unfavorable conditions, Luke Bischoff tied for ninth in a field of 100 at plus-3, his best showing since the first event of the fall when he finished tied for 20th at minus-1 in the Dolenc Invitational. His scorecard featured four birdies between the two rounds and an eagle on a 555-yard par 5 fourth hole in the first round.

Kash Albarado bounced back from a tough outing at the Mesquite Desert Classic to tie for 11th. He carded a minus-4 68 in the second round, recording five birdies. Only North Florida's Brett Schell, who took home medalist honors, recorded a better round with a 66.

Ballard Harris also finished in the top half of the field, tying for 29th.

The Knights tied for third in the team rankings at plus-28 as ASUN mate North Florida took home the team medal at plus-1 in addition to the individual medal. Bellarmine finished better than ASUN foes Queens (plus-31), event host Eastern Kentucky (plus-34) and West Georgia (plus-45).

"I'm really proud of the team," said head coach Bruce Brown. 'We beat some really good teams in a really good field."

Bellarmine's tie for third gives them their best finish of the 2024-25 season and matches their best from 2023-24 when they placed third out of 12 at EKU's Colonel Shootout and third out of eight at the Austin Peay Intercollegiate.
