LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bellarmine swimming will compete in its last away meet of the season, traveling to Northern Kentucky University on Saturday, January 24.
Saturday's meet will begin at 5 pm E.T. at Scott High School in Taylor Mill, KY.
In their last time out, the Knights fell in an away meet at Xavier. There was plenty of individual success in the pool however, as Bellarmine collected 15 top three finishes, including five gold medals. Freshman
Ahmet Efe Inceoglu accounted for two golds as he won both the 100 and 200 freestyle. Joining him in the winner's circle was fellow freshmen
Yael Bojalil and Joao Kirchgassner who touched the wall first in the 500 freestyle and 200 breaststroke, respectively. Sophomore
Ava Jones was the final winner on the day and the highest placing woman on the team, claiming first place on the 100 freestyle.
This will be Northern Kentucky's first action of the spring after competing five times in the fall, most recently at the House of Champions event at the end of November. Bellarmine and NKU met for the first time in series history last season with team win's on both the men's and women's sides. Northern Kentucky's swim teams were established just last season.
