LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University track and field will compete in its penultimate regular-season meet of the indoor campaign Friday at the Eastern Indoors at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.
Action is set to begin at 9 a.m. (ET) with the women's weight throw.
Bellarmine will follow the Eastern Indoors by concluding the indoor regular season at the Feb. 21 Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame. The Knights will then host the Feb. 27-28 ASUN Indoor Championship at Norton SLC.
Bellarmine's men have three throwers ranked in the ASUN's top 10 in the shot put in sophomore
Will Bracher (third, 15.81m), freshman
Dylan Forster (fifth, 15.65m) and junior
Enrico Busato (t-ninth, 13.92m). Bracher is also ranked sixth in the weight throw (16.73m).
Senior
Jackson Gordon is ranked third in the conference in the 400m (48.18) and sophomore
Grant King is ninth (49.17). King is also sixth in the 200m (22.03) and Gordon is 10th in the 800m (1:54.91).
Senior
Zander Hooten is ranked fourth in the ASUN in the 60m hurdles (7.96) and junior
Carter Olmsted is 10th (8.34), while freshman
Tola Taiwo is eighth in the triple jump (13.90m) and senior
Zac Hutslar is ninth in the long jump (6.79m).
King, freshman
Tucker Smith, Hutslar and Gordon are the top-ranked 4x400m relay team (3:16.54).
Junior
Amelia Svidal is ranked fifth in the ASUN in the women's triple jump (11.79m) and ninth in the long jump (5.48m).
