LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University track and field had a banner meet Friday at the Eastern Indoors, as the Knights shattered four program records at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center.

Junior Amelia Svidal broke the longstanding women's program record in the long jump with a 5.62m leap that topped Mariah Schwenk's 5.57m from the 2012 DePauw Tiger Invitational. Svidal placed second in the event.

Senior Zac Hutslar rewrote the men's 200m record with a 21.83 dash that bested Jackson Gordon's 21.86 from the 2024 PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic. Hutslar took third in the event.

Bellarmine also busted two freshman program records. Caysie Brady set another new standard in the women's weight throw with a 16.43m heave that topped her 15.98m from this year's PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic and delivered her a top finish in the event.

Taevion Sweeney placed first in the men's 60m hurdles, and his 8.35 finish is now the program's top freshman mark replacing the 8.45 of previous co-owners Seth Sigler (2010 Hoosier Hills Open) and Zander Hooten (2022 Commonwealth College Opener).

Sophomore Will Bracher took first in both the men's weight throw (15.58m) and shot put (15.77m). Freshman Dylan Forster was the runner-up in the shot put (15.52m) and sophomore Enrico Busato was third (13.32m), while freshman Martin Garcia was third in the weight throw (14.21m).

Senior Alex Hooten placed first in the mile (4:07.93) and freshman Jack Moutardier (4:17.34) and junior Chase Austin (4:17.65) followed in second and third, respectively. In addition, Austin finished fourth in the 1000m (2:35.31) and Moutardier was fifth (2:35.44).

Junior Carter Olmsted was the runner-up in the 60m hurdles (8.37), as was freshman Landen Fernandez in the 800m (1:56.52). Freshman Buzz Christensen placed fifth in the latter event (2:00.56). Other men's top 5s were produced by sophomore Malcolm Robertson (3000m, fourth, 8:57.60), sophomore Grant King (400m, fifth, 49.31) and freshman Tola Taiwo (long jump, fifth, 6.37m).

Senior Jansen Story placed third in the women's 800m (2:20.25), as did junior Haden Wolfe in the weight throw (15.26m). Senior Sierra Oesterling was fourth in the 1000m (3:12.39), as was junior Emma Harwick in the high jump (1.40m). Wolfe added a fifth in the shot put (10.64m), as did junior Aubrey Lane in the 400m (58.46).

Bellarmine will compete Feb. 21 in Notre Dame's Alex Wilson Invitational.
