BATAVIA, Oh. – The Bellarmine University men's golf team closed out the tournament portion of its regular season schedule this week, competing at The Jewell Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at Elks Run Golf Club.
As a team, the Knights finished 13
th in the 14-team field, hosted by Northern Kentucky.
Senior
Kash Albarado led the group with a 48
th-place finish. Albarado shot in the 70s in all three rounds, recording scores of 75-74-78 for a +14 finish.
Fellow senior
Peyton Bonny also turned in three straight rounds in the 70s with scores of 79-79-74 to finish 67
th.
Freshman
Landon Stillwell turned in the two lowest rounds for the Knights, shooting a first round 72 and second round 73. Overall, Stillwell finished T58th with sophomore
Ben Davenport at 16-over for the event.
Oakland came out on top in the team competition, claiming the championship at +15.
Butler's Logan Sutto and Leo Zurovac finished atop the individual standings, sharing the championship title with even par scores for the event.
