LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University track and field is bracing for the ASUN Outdoor Championships, which will be held Thursday-Saturday at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville.

There will be select finals in throws, jumps and distance over the first two days, in addition to the multis and numerous prelims. Saturday consists of a full slate of finals.

In head coach Emma Petersen's first year, Bellarmine earned four medals in late February's ASUN Indoor Championships. Senior Zander Hooten captured the men's program's first-ever gold medal at an ASUN meet in the 60m hurdles while senior Alex Hooten was a silver medalist in the 800m and freshman Dylan Forster was a bronze medalist in the shot put. Junior Carter Olmsted, Zander Hooten, sophomore Grant King and senior Zac Hutslar secured a bronze in the 4x400m relay.

Zander Hooten (men's 110m hurdles), Alex Hooten (men's 1500m), freshman Taevion Sweeney (men's 400m hurdles), junior Amelia Svidal (women's triple jump and long jump) and freshman Caysie Brady (women's discus) have set new overall outdoor program records this season. Brady (women's discus and hammer throw), Sweeney (men's 400m hurdles) and Forster (men's shot put) have established new freshman outdoor program records.

Central Arkansas boasts both reigning ASUN outdoor champions after sweeping the team titles in 2025.
