JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Bellarmine University's Gavin Crowe was acknowledged as the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week for men's soccer, the league announced Monday.

A sophomore defender, Crowe was responsible for the game-winning goal in a 3-2 season-opening win over Evansville on Thursday at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

A center back, Crowe played all 90 minutes and helped the defense limit Evansville to five shots on goal. The Purple Aces' two scores were via an own goal and penalty kick.
