LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Bellarmine University field hockey team rolled to a 7-1 exhibition victory over Concordia University-Wisconsin tonight at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
Senior
Kelsey O'Bryan registered a hat trick with three goals while
Anna O'Toole added two scores for the Knights.
Kathryn Schneidtmiller and
Merit Harris also scored for Bellarmine.
Concordia's lone goal came off the stick of Allison Kurek, who re-directed a pass from close range.
The Knights dominated statistically over the Division III Falcons, who are in their first year as a collegiate field hockey program. Bellarmine outshot their guests 18-2 and had a 14-1 advantage in penalty corners.
Freshman
Heather Gregory logged all 70 minutes in goal for the Knights to pick up the win. Concordia goalies split time with Kennedy Boyer and Alyssa Palmer each coming up with four saves.
Bellarmine kicks off conference play tomorrow as they host Newberry College at noon.
