LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine field hockey team will honor four players, a manager and a graduate assistant ahead of their Senior Day match with Central Michigan on Friday at 2 p.m. ET at Trager Stadium. The ceremony is expected to begin at approximately 1:40 p.m. ET.

Defender
Maria Bonwell, a Montpelier, Va., native, is in her third season with the Knights after starting her collegiate career with one season at Bellarmine's most recent opponent, Bryant. She has appeared in 50 career games, making 39 starts, and has twice been named an NFHCA Scholar of Distinction.
Head coach
Toby Platt on Bonwell: "Maria's endless work ethic and drive to be the best at everything she does make her a true competitor on and off the field. We know she will be nothing short of amazing in the next chapter of her life."
Forward/midfielder
Emily Williams appeared in six games as a freshman during the 2022 season before stepping away from field hockey. The Louisville native and Ballard product returned this year for her senior season and has appeared in five games.
Platt on Williams: "Emily's passion, positivity, and relentless effort have been an inspiration to those around her. She has shown an unwavering commitment to growth and a genuine care for her teammates. Her competitive spirit and drive will continue to shine brightly in her next chapter."
Midfielder/defender
Alicia Hudson is the Knights' active career goals leader with four and starts with 66. A native of Dorset, England, Hudson has twice been named Academic All-MAC, three times been named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad and last year was recognized on the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team.
Platt on Hudson: "Alicia's ability to put her own needs aside for the team and hold down the fort in the back this year is a true testimony to who she is as a person, both on and off the field. We know she will thrive and make an incredible impact in the next chapter of her life!"
Goalkeeper
Kailey Workman is second all-time in Bellarmine history and first during the Division I era with 365 saves, posting a .675 save percentage. The Milton, Ontario, native has appeared in 68 games and made 53 consecutive starts. She has earned Academic All-MAC and CSC Academic All-District laurels twice each, NFHCA National Academic Squad honors three times and NFHCA Scholars of Distinction recognition once.

Kailey Workman: "Kailey's leadership and unwavering dedication to her teammates have defined her time as a Knight. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and unity, and I know she will carry that same impact into whatever comes next."
Graduate assistant
Madison Workman, Kailey's sister, joined the program ahead of the 2024 season. She played five seasons at Miami (OH) before coming to the Highlands.

Madison Workman: "Madison's commitment, support, and guidance have been instrumental in helping Bellarmine field hockey grow into a new era, and I am so grateful for the impact she's made during her time here. She was my go-to during my transition from assistant coach to head coach, supporting me every step of the way. I know she will be amazing in her next chapter of life."
Finally,
Luiza Bonardi joined the field hockey team as their manager for the 2025 season. She also spent one year on Bellarmine's women's swimming team.
Platt on Bonardi: "Luiza has been such a helpful and reliable manager, always willing to step in and support the team. We are grateful for all she has done and know she will be successful in her next endeavors."
About Central Michigan
Central Michigan (8-8, 3-5 MAC) sits at No. 58 in the RPI and currently holds the sixth and final spot in the MAC Championship field. The Chippewas are coming off a 6-1 loss at Virginia Commonwealth.
Senior forward Mallory Camryn has scored 16 goals and is tied for 12th nationally averaging 1.00 goal per game. Add in her three assists and the Ontario native has 35 points, averaging 2.19 per game to rank 18th nationally. Sophomore Carolena Ryon also has double-digit goals with 10. As a team, CMU ranks 23rd nationally averaging 2.55 goals per 60 minutes. Defensively, however, they rank 67th in allowing 2.99 goals per 60 minutes.
Graduate keeper Ashley Cogger has earned 13 of 16 starts in the cage and ranks 14th in Division I with her .786 save percentage.
Bellarmine will be playing their final game this season after being eliminated from earning a spot in the six-team MAC Championship last weekend.
